I’m Mike Sims
I’ve spent my entire life in Jefferson County and over 30 years serving our community through law enforcement, crisis intervention, and public safety. From my early days as a dispatcher to my work today in criminal investigations, my mission has always been the same—protecting the people with integrity, transparency, and commitment.

With more than 30 years of service in public safety, he is committed to building trust, improving road safety, and protecting the county’s most vulnerable residents. Mike also brings hands-on experience with budget management, including work involving nonprofits, a township trustee’s office, and Indiana Gateway financial reporting, ensuring fiscal responsibility, accountability, and transparency in county operations.
